I wish I could have been out there in the field with y’all! Thank you for sharing the depths of your journey, your words haunt, but express much empowerment of honesty.... relationships, whether being to land, plants, or people are intense, seem to make us question all the foundations while teaching us every moment. I hope you find your peace, the land hears you!!
Thank you for sharing this. It was so personal and moving. I appreciate the work you do and the knowledge you share. I am slowly trying to remove myself from the plastic world but it is hard. The content you make and share helps me understand the world in a better way.
Yes facing our aloneness, not knowing if how or when it will end.
Now that I’m pushing 70 holy shit!
I know that what I face and process with an open(ing) heart is like the pebble in the pond, ripples circling out to the whole universe in silence or in sound.
I know too now, after all these years, that I magnetize all my experiences to myself. There is no blame, just deep old patterns that will not go away, until they are seated away by being welcomed, felt and seen again and again with compassion and love, even for any self hatred or shame that may have persisted. Your relationship to the natural beauty of the world will serve you well. Keep waking in beauty, sister.
even when you think you're making change, doing something differently, you can even fool yourself that you're doing better. that's what makes this all hard sometimes. we choose what is deeply grooved often, in both our resistance to love, and our seeking of it where it is not available.
Yes! How do we wear away the grooves dug in by old defunct patterns? By practising/learning to shine the light of our own love on them, again and again and again. Practising is all we can do, with gentleness even toward the parts of ourselves and others that we havent liked. But not martyring ourselves, ever. 💚
Hi Kelly! Would love love love to be out there with you. I wish so hard I could’ve crafted some way to do it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts…raw, honest, vulnerable.
thank you for sharing the intimacy of this experience. i've not seen some of these plants before. i want to give you a great big hug. just, thank you and respect.
i wasn't sure whether or not it got to you! thank you for spending some time with it. the r.o.u.t.e. project continues to evolve, and i feel compelled to connect with you on it. feel free to contact me at any point with reflections. You have spilled your guts so eloquently in shared writing, and remove some of the stigma from the messiness of being human. i love that. thanks again.
A moving and lyrical piece

Your word weaving is amazing. Thank you. See you in August. ✨
Thank you, Kelly, for refusing to hide your grief because others might think it unseemly. Thank you.
