Thank you for writing this.

My 5-year-old daughter appears to be somewhat neurodivergent. She often reacts strongly to things that my 2-year-old is completely fine with. I think what you wrote can help me see difficult events in the way that she does and give her the space to process them. I never want to force her to "get over it" or insinuate that she's "too sensitive." I hope I can help her foster connection with others without betraying herself in any way.

yeah i think neurodivergence is the least understood intersection of being in this culture because it can affect anyone despite other ways they may be oppressed or misunderstood and can exponentially affect them in ways it doesn't for others. It is hard for us to fully empathize with others who sense the world in different ways, both beautiful and painful. Us neurodivergents experience such extreme joy and pleasure and also incredible pain emotionally and physically, its a gift and a burden. thanks for cultivating empathy and understanding or at least wanting to for your daughter. I wish I had had that growing up, though my parents were a little aware at times my sensitivities, there was still a lack of awareness of certain things for sure.

The inner work, the struggles, the insights are all for our own personal growth and perhaps even more in service to the collective. Sometimes that’s hard to take. And sometimes we just have to let it all go and savour times of freedom and pure being. At least, that is what I’ve been shown.

yeah we do it for a collective movement we maybe never see the fruit of, the result of evolution. its a hard pill to swallow. in the midst of it all, there is beauty and awe for sure.

Yes! A hard pill indeed. Often what gives me

back the feeling of it all being alright, is remembering that I dedicate it to the children and all the generations going forward, and thank the ancestors for getting me this far. And… hahaha! I do kinda hope I get some lifetimes of reaping the rewards. Then I remember, I am already living them in parallel.
