ohh yes I feel this. I've kind of started to think that the main thing that separates us humans from other kinds of beings is we have baggage baggage baggage. It gets in the way. Springs don't have baggage (though sometimes we project ours onto them god knows). Bless your spring who chooses you 💛 and bless you.

i feel really lucky that for this very moment my home is parked by a perennial spring in a place where springs are not common; and while the river ebbs and flows because of dams and water wars.. the spring remains the same, the flow in the winter, the flow in the spring, the flow now, and I do gather her water every morning for my coffee and don't filter, sometimes in the middle of the night when I'm thirsty. she's become a being that feels like a companion right by my side, it feels like the company of a literal being. these things are often hard to communicate to others, how it becomes like this. i didn't think i'd be so emotional being so reunited after 2 weeks of travel, just getting to sit on the bridge and have my feet in her waters again.
